The Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management serves as a provincial leader for research excellence, knowledge translation and exchange in the urgent research field of chronic disease prevention.
Based at UBC Okanagan, the Centre’s research strategy is based on:
- Aligning with the Faculty of Medicine’s strategic plan to collaboratively accelerate research and knowledge translation in the field of chronic diseases.
- Building and maintaining collaborations that harness collective research strengths from UBC Okanagan, Interior Health, and local clinicians.
- Fostering new opportunities that expand research excellence across BC, in particular within the Interior Health region.
- Achieving research excellence including competitive funding and recognition both nationally and internationally.
